Whether the district no. 5 had to pay rent, I don't know, and if school was held here more than one year. For one or more years school was held in another bulding on Cottonwood. Lucy Doll standing in front of the original Doll family cabin at Dotsero. Franklin and his brother Samuel arrived at Dotsero in 1886. They purchased a ranch in Gypsum Valley which became the Doll Brothers and Condon ranch. Franklin brought his wife Lucy and children Sam and Susan to Dotsero in 1887, coming from Ohio.
