The Denver Tramway line ended at Hampden and from 1982 to 1910 the Cherrelyn Horse Car carried passengers up the steep hill from Hampden to Quincy. At the top of the hill, the horse climbed on the back platform and coasted down hill with the passengers. Jim O'Brien (center) owned and drove the horse car for several years.
