Kluge was a partner with Thomas E. Lewis in the Lewis & Kluge mercantile at Eagle. Together with Mr. Lewis and Robert McHatton, Kluge also owned the Gypsum Mercantile Co. store at Gypsum. Lewis bought out Kluge's interest in the Eagle store.

Franklin Pierce Forster, son of Henry Moore Forster and Mary Jane Kirkland Forster, at the age of 4. He had one living sister, Elizabeth Charity Forster [George]. He was born Feb. 9,1866, in Winterset, Iowa. The Forster family moved to Valley View, Texas, and then in the fall of 1872 or early 1873, the Forsters sold their farm and began a covered wagon trip to the west.

He wears a small-brimmed hat, pulled down to his ears, wool coat and laced boots (which look too large for him). Sam was born in Osnaburg, Ohio, October 31, 1882; died in Gypsum, Colorado, 1899.
