Building the concrete arch bridge at Wolcott in 1917. The Pueblo Bridge Company began the project in 1916, on State Highway 131, crossing the Eagle River. The bridge has since been replaced. It is a good example of the Luten arch, patented by Indianapolis enginerr Daniel B. Luten in 1905. The concrete bridge at Wolcott, showing railroad tracks and equipment behind it. The bridge was built in 1916 during the period when the Colorado Highway Department was replacing many small wooden bridges with concrete structures.
