Franklin Pierce Forster, son of Henry Moore Forster and Mary Jane Kirkland Forster, at the age of 4. He had one living sister, Elizabeth Charity Forster [George]. He was born Feb. 9,1866, in Winterset, Iowa. The Forster family moved to Valley View, Texas, and then in the fall of 1872 or early 1873, the Forsters sold their farm and began a covered wagon trip to the west.

"Charles and Robert" seated on a mule at Neff's Ranch. Marcus Neff owned the Red Canyon ranch from 1911 to 1932, when he sold to Buck Beatty. He moved to Red Cliff and owned and operated the Battle Mountain Transportation Company. Charles and Robert are not identified further.

This photograph was in a group of photographs of ranches and livestock in the Edwards School Scrapbook. The scrapbook was created as a youth citizens' league project between 1954-1955.
