This building was once the dance hall for Tuileries Amusement Park. It was later bought by the National Film Co. It was then sold to Alexander Industries and finally to the City of Englewood. The city bought the building and some land for $14,500. Note the Griffin behind the flag pole on the top of the building. The griffin now stands in the main stairway of City Center.

The view is to the North. Girard crosses the center of the photo and Cherokee is on the far right. The building in the center has been demolished and is now a parking lot (as of 2004). The corner of the building on the left is the old City Hall and Library(located at 3400 S. Elati). This building has also been demolished. In 2004 a new building was put up in its place.

The Horse Car was restored by the Rotary Club and given to the City of Englewood. This photo shows the new Horse Car outside City Hall in 1960. This restored car is now in the new City Center lobby.
