This remarkable image of four mature bull moose near Piney Lake was captured by Bill Andree during winter of 2018. Andree is a retired Colorado Division of Wildlife officer whose territory included Gore Creek Valley, Piney Lake and the Piney River Valley area.

"The Ski Trooper" bronze sculpture concept was inspired by 10th Mountain Division veteran Donald E. Traynor. Based upon the bronze sculpture by Victor Issa, “The Ski Trooper” was created by Colorado artist Scott Stearman.

The Two Elk Lodge and Restaurant atop Vail Mountain was destroyed by arson on 19 October 1998. The Lodge was subsequently rebuilt.

The bronze sculpture, Two Vessels (Unpacked), was created by Nathan Mabry in 2013. Located near the Vail Village Parking Structure West Entrance, the 84" x 48" x 48" Logan group sculpture is held in the Art in Public Places collection of the Town of Vail.
This is one of the four works of art that Vicki and Kent Logan donated to the Town of Vail public art. collection.
