"A look at the McCoy Hotel from the west bank of Rock Creek in 1916. If the bridge was only able to talk, think of the many interesting stories it could tell about the many travelers that passed over it between Wolcott and Routt County. Flood waters took it out twice, in 1952 when the King Mountain Reservoir dam gave way and again when high water took it out in 1962. After that it was never replaced." -- McCoy Memoirs, p.95.

"This house, located in the south-east part of the old Groh ranch, was built by Sam Kibbler about 1905 and he, his wife and daughter, Lucille, were the first occupants, but only for a few years. After they left, it has been a home to a number of people including the Grohs after retirement. Its appearance has changed somewhat since 1905 though it's still the same house. In 1942 Helen Ray bought it for $300 but only occupied it for a short time." --...

A close up of the roof detail and windows on the shelter house at Notch Mountain. Constructed by the CCC between 1931 and 1933, it was built to provide a respite to those on pilgrimages to see the Mount of the Holy Cross.

"This bunkhouse is all that remains of a good set of ranch buildings that were on the Dave Bailey place at the mouth of Yarmony Creek. The two story log house that Dave and his wife Molly lived in for over twenty years and Tony and Rebecca Johannbroer occupied for another twenty was destroyed by fire about 1937. -- McCoy Memoirs p.134

Deconstruction of the Nogal-Ping hotel and cabins in Eagle by Claude DeGraw began in 2010. Nogal's Hotel, built in 1892, was later purchased by the O. A. Ping family in 1923. It was occupied by siblings Leonard and Garnet Ping most recently. Leonard died in 1988 and Garnet moved to Gypsum in the late 1990s, passing away in 2003. It stands at the corner of Hwy 24 and Capitol Streets...

The Bar-Gay Ranch was originally the Hawley place. Gaylord and Barbara Clark bought the house and outbuildings; the land was a school section which they leased for 99 years.
