This is the original John Cowden family homestead cabin, which was moved about a half a mile from it's original site on Bellyache. Jack Oleson reconstructed the cabin on the Diamond S ranch. A tour of the ranch was conducted by the Eagle County Historical Society and the Diamond S Ranch on October 5, 2013.

The school had deteriorated into a pile of logs when Jack Oleson decided to move the building back to its original location and reconstruct the building. Pete and Ruby DeGraw's house in Eagle Colorado, taken sometime in the 1940s. Pete (Correl James) DeGraw was a brand inspector in Eagle County for 40 years. He was also a rural mail carrier for 18 years, delivering mail from Eagle to Woods Lake in summer months and between Eagle and Sylvan Lake in the winter season.
