This griffin was once part of the Central City Opera House. It was later moved to the courthouse in Denver on 15th and Tremont. When that building was torn down in the 30's, Englewood acquired it and placed it atop the Englewood City Hall. It was later moved to the Englewood Fire Station where it stood for more than 30 years. It eventually found its way to the new City Center and now stands in the main stair case.
