1904 Formal portrait of Mr. and Mrs. Julius P. Oleson. Julius Peter Oleson was born Feb. 16, 1876, Schleswig-Holstein, Denmakr, and came to the United States in 1889. In 1902, he entered the mercantile business in Gypsum, Colorado, until the time of his death in 1958. Studio photograph of Bird Crawford (Hockett) and her brothers. "Birdie" came to the Gypsum valley as a small girl with her parents. In 1898, she married Addison L. Hockett, member of another pioneer family. They had four daughters: Myrtie Stephens, Mary Margaret Robichaud, Arta Pharo, and Lucy Ronchetti.
