"About 1922 Lawrence Davis built this house at Volcano railroad siding, at a time when there were a number of railroad men and a few homesteaders living in that area. The two story building at left is the former U.S. Post Office on Water St. in Red Cliff. The trailr was also used as the Post office for a while. The new Post Office was opened in 1990.
