1910-1920: Looking northeast, Broadway Street. Front of E. E. Glenn & Co. General Merchandise clearly visible; Post Office sign on side of building. People (dressed as if for special event) gathered in front of store with wagons and horses.
The bay windowed house to the right of the E. E. Glenn & Co. building was occupied by Alex Macdonell and family beginning in 1951. Mr. Macdonell was working for Holy Cross Electric out of Glenwood Springs...

Yeoman Park Ranger Station barn and a side view of the shed. Many of the structures at Yeoman Park were built as part of the CCC Program, or Civilian Conservation Corps, during the Great Depression.

Stanley McHatton stands on the steps of the Eagle County High School in Gypsum. Taken in the 1910s. The caption states that Stanley McHatton was a professor at the school. This cannot be verified. Stanley attended the Eagle County High School through at least 1913.

This stereoscopic view of Red Cliff, Colorado (facing southeast) was taken by William Henry Jackson some time in the late 1800s. It's likely this image is from before 1883, since the caption states that the image is of Red Cliff, Summit County, Colorado. Red Cliff was a part of Summit County for a few years before 1883. In 1883, Eagle County was formed and Red Cliff became the county seat.

Joy Marfitano (Dump Boltjes) on Senior Sneak Day 1938. She is standing at the Will Rogers Shrine of the Sun in Colorado Springs. Spencer Penrose built the shrine between 1934 and 1937, dedicating it to Will Rogers who died in a plane crash in 1935. The elevation on the top deck in 8,136 ft. The shrine is now part of Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.

The Eagle River at Edwards [Wilmore stop]. Lettuce shed next to the railroad with the old water tank in the background. Benny Klatt's home and small store on Highway 6. Benny Klatt was killed by his brother-in-law, William Wellington, over the ownership of the cabin in which Wellington lived.

Thomas "...was born in Broadtop, Pa., Oct. 12, 1872 and came to Boulder, Colorado as a young man. For a time he managed a store at Erie before coming to Western Colorado and entered the mercantile business at Palisade with the J. W. Hugus Co. There he met Miss Ella Rose Berger, a clerk at the old Fair Store in Grand Junction. The couple was married March 3, 1907 and eight years later came to Eagle."...

1737) Benson's Sawmill, Pando

Several unidentified individuals pose for a photograph in front of a building at Pando. Taken in August of 1912. It's possible that these individuals were employees of Benson's Sawmill, located at Pando. This is supported by the large saw blade visible to the right of the door. A dog is pictured on the right next to a gentleman holding a large jug. This photograph was developed by Schedin Studio in Leadville.
