T. J. Fox, standing in a yard. The photo was printed September 15, 1940, at Ping's Station. Mr. Fox was the son of Rosa and George Fox of Brush Creek; his sister was Maude Fox Figgins.

Marked with an arrow, the house sits next to a garage. Mine timbers are stacked to right and left. "Dump" refers to the disposal of earth left after ore is extracted.

"It still has the appearance of one, but hardly resembles the old Yarmony Creek log school that was built by volunteer labor in 1906, only the windows look the same. It served its purpose well until the one room schools were discontinued in favor of consolidated shcools in 1950.
